While most feel that the quarterback race at UT next season will be wildly competitive, and some feel Quentin Dormady will get the nod, I feel like next season will be Jarrett Guarantano’s time to shine.
At 6’4″ 210lbs he has the frame you want in a Division 1 quarterback. But, it doesn’t end there. Guarantano was ranked as the nation’s top dual threat quarterback coming out of high school by 247sports. Add his arm strength to his 4.45 40-yard dash and you have the perfect fit for the spread offense that Butch Jones loves to run.
Gone is record breaking quarterback, Josh Dobbs, and it sets the table for Guarantano’s run. The last time a record breaking QB left Rocky Top, the following year the Vols won the national championship….so why not Guarantano?
Here is his high school highlights along with Dobbs’ high school highlights, and you decide.
